Scott Dodd

Senior staff editor at The New York Times

I spent more than a decade as a newspaper reporter, writing upwards of 1,000 stories over the course of my career. My beats included night cops, city hall, real estate and sports business. I also spent a good chunk of time as a general assignment reporter, pursuing investigations and breaking news. I then transitioned into editing, first at magazines and digital media, where I focused on science and environmental journalism, and now at The New York Times, where I'm back to handling a wide range of topics. Although I'm not writing as much these days, this portfolio provides a record of some of my past work. You can find more about my background here.
